Tuesday, September 15, 2026 is the Q3 2026 estimated tax deadline. If you expect to owe the IRS and/or Illinois $1,000 in April of next year, you are supposed to make quarterly estimated tax payments. If you don't, you will be subject to the estimated tax penalty.
