Description
Life and connections are alive and well at Thrive Ahead Co.! We’re excited to invite you—and anyone you feel could benefit—to our upcoming workshop: 'Exploring Authenticity & Self Perception,' the second event in our Uncovering Me series.
In our practice, we frequently hear clients say things like:
- 'I tend to focus on the negatives and have a harder time seeing what’s good and positive in myself.'
- 'I’m constantly feel like I’m not measuring up, and it’s really shaking my confidence.'
- 'How I see myself really holds me back socially and even at work—I’m always second-guessing myself.'
- 'I know I’m hard on myself but it’s really taking a toll. It’s draining and effecting everything I do.'
This interactive workshop will guide participants through understanding and reframing their self-perceptions. Key topics will include:
- The Four Aspects of Body Image: Perceptual, Affective, Cognitive, Behavioral
- Recognizing and overcoming Cognitive Distortions such as all-or-nothing thinking, overgeneralization, and mental filtering
- Developing strategies to shift from negative self-talk toward supportive, compassionate self-talk
- Engaging in reflective exercises and community discussions to nurture a healthier relationship with the body and self
