Description

Fortuned Trials is a collaboration between Chicago artists Zsófia Ötvös and Lidoska Guietti, with guest artist Melissa Kolbusz of WIRED jewelry. The exhibition runs from August 16 through September 5, 2024 (every Saturday and Sunday, plus six special events on specific weekdays and also by appointment). The exhibition will be held at CSI Project Space & Gallery at 1912 N. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647 in the Bucktown neighborhood.

Chicago loves to laugh and is known worldwide for its improv and sketch comedy theatre. Fortuned Trials is proud to bring a taste of comedy fun with a double bill performance, featuring Ric Walker, and Kendra Jamaica with Rudy Mendoza on August 26 at 6 p.m.

Ric Walker is an actor, stand-up performer, and Professor of Comedy, Writing, and Performance at Columbia College, the nation's first BA in Comedy. He is an ensemble member and current director of the award-winning improvised Shakespeare Company and an active member of Chicago's storytelling community.

Kendra Jamaica is the founder and mastermind behind Ratas De Dos Patas, the Chicago-based, award-winning Latine sketch comedy and improv collective. Kendra is the producer of Escándalo, the weekly variety show that showcases talents with a Latine background. She will perform at Fortuned Trials accompanied by Rudy Mendoza, founder, and producer of Antojitos Fest: Chicago’s Latin American Comedy Festival.
