Retail Store Manager Job Description

Pup Social is looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team! This role offers the chance to help shape a one-of-a-kind retail experience for pet owners and their beloved pups. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in retail management, with experience in e-commerce or product management preferred. If you bring all three skills, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities Include:

- Managing inventory and overseeing retail staff.
- Ensuring the store is organized, fresh, and optimized for sales.

- Staying attuned to customer preferences and market trends.

- Researching new products and curating seasonal collections.

- Developing vendor relationships and ensuring e-commerce orders are fulfilled on time.

- Supporting the launch and growth of Pup Social’s retail space.

This is more than just a store management role—it’s an exciting opportunity to engage in product research and development, attend annual pet industry expos, and contribute to private label product creation. For full-time hires, this position offers a clear path to promotion into a Product Manager role.

You’ll play an integral role in product development, selecting collections, and identifying trends. You’ll attend trade expos to stay ahead of the curve and ensure Pup Social offers the best products in the market. What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a team player who loves dogs, people, and building community. You should be:

- Experienced in managing retail teams and inventory.

- Skilled at creating relationships with vendors and training staff.

- Organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable with e-commerce tools.

- Passionate about innovation and adapting to challenges.

Preferred qualifications include experience in dog-related industries, store (or e-store) management, and product management.

- Competitive hybrid compensation ($45,000–$50,000 in the first year), with an annual bonus.
