Meet Our Panel

Catherine Crews

Catherine Crews is the owner of Canine Crews, where she works at the front counter every day. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BA in History and Art and a minor in Biology.
Living in Chicago since 1999, Catherine combines a lifelong passion for animals with extensive experience running a small business. Before opening Canine Crews, she worked in the metal industry for more than 12 years, including 10 years with a company of fewer than 15 employees. That experience strengthened the work ethic, patience, and problem solving skills that are essential when working with dogs and their owners.
Catherine has more than five years of shelter and rescue experience and is Pet First Aid and CPR certified through the American Red Cross. She is active in her community, serving on the WPBCC Chamber Board and as Chair of the Wicker Park Fest Committee.

Diana Morado

Diana Morado has been part of the State Farm family since 2007, when she first knew she wanted to become an agent. She proudly serves Chicago’s Belmont Cragin neighborhood, where she was born, raised, and continues to live. The community holds a lifelong place in her heart.
A proud first generation Mexican American, Diana is a Latina, mother, wife, daughter, sister, business owner, mentor, and community advocate. Her husband, Francisco, is also a first generation Mexican American born and raised in Chicago and a devoted father.
Diana’s entrepreneurial roots trace back to 1995, when her parents opened a small restaurant that instilled in her the values of resilience, hard work, and service. Inspired by those lessons, she opened her own insurance agency in the same neighborhood that raised her. Her journey has been shaped by perseverance, personal loss, and the experience of losing her daughter to a congenital heart defect. Her daughter’s strength continues to guide her work and purpose.
That legacy lives on through Casita La Luna, a space dedicated to healing, empowerment, and community connection.
Martha Itulya-Omollo
Martha Itulya-Omollo is the Owner and Co Founder of Kikwetu Coffee Company. The company began with a simple mission to help people from all walks of life slow down and connect with one another.
From the beginning, Martha and her team have focused on exceptional quality because they believe great coffee encourages people to pause, savor, and be present. They are equally committed to building, fostering, and uncovering meaningful human connections. At Kikwetu, coffee is more than a product. It is a bridge between people and cultures.
Martha believes that human connection is the foundation for a just and sustainable planet. This philosophy is reflected in every aspect of Kikwetu’s work, from sourcing to community engagement.
