SSA #33 Reconstitution

We Need Your Help
Wicker Park Bucktown's Special Service Area (SSA) #33's
15-year term ends on 12/31/2028 and must go through the renewal process in 2028 in order for Wicker Park & Bucktown to maintain crucial funding and services.

The primary purpose of creating an SSA is to deliver focused services within a defined area to promote its economic and commercial vitality. These "Special Services" are typically funded through a localized property tax levy on properties within the SSA boundaries.

To keep funding available for our vast programs and services, the City of Chicago requires signatures representing 20% of Property Index Numbers (PIN) owners.

Why It Matters

SSA #33 is committed to making the district a better place to live, work, and play — while also increasing property values for owners.

A few of the services provided by SSA #33 include

Litter abatement

Holiday decorations

Streetscape furniture

Community events

Neighborhood promotion

Public art installations

Landscaping

Wayfinding signage

...and more!

Wicker Park Bucktown SSA #33 was established in 2005.
