Madison Deyo is a surrealist painter and illustrator who currently lives and works in Chicago, IL. Born and raised in a small town in central Wisconsin, their use of natural elements pay homage to the state parks they grew up near. Taking inspiration from artists like Georgia O’Keefe, Frida Kahlo, and René Magritte, Madison intertwines imagery of flora and fauna with the human figure to create surrealist depictions of life, death, and growth. Currently, they work at Northwestern University as an program, communications and events coordinator and co-produces the Technical Difficulties podcast. They are partnered with Single Braid Brewing, a meadery based in Wisconsin, working on logo and label designs.
