Shona Terpay

I am known as the thinker, the emotionally aware, the abstract. I create wonder and joy, produce emotions through color and technique, trial and error and a free flow of thought. I knew early my fate was to be an artist. I experimented with all types of mediums. I taught painting and sculpture to people of all abilities. I grew up surrounded by artists, photographers, painters, actors, teachers, coaches, and dancers. I danced, I sang, explored! Every step of my way as an artist I knew many of the people around me understand my need for creating! Most recently I was intrigued by abstract artwork and the use of color and line. I began to paint, and paint, and paint! Over Covid days and negative governing I channeled my emotions. My paintings were dark, brooding and introspective of my negative thoughts. One day I noticed that my mindset was changing. I was looking for the color in a world that was so full of doubt. I found my voice, my passion for creating.
